Built in JavaScript, Express.js, Node.js, Angular, and Mongo DB. A business website for braid and hair design. To book an appointment the client fills out a form that is sent as an email to the business owner. I want to include multiple APIs and more features in the next versions.

Built in Python/Django. User side sees only concerts in the database and can filter through them by typing in text boxes which make ajax calls. Set in an iframe on a Wordpress site for a client. Admin site features CRUD capability along with my proudest functionality: web scraping concert venue websites with one click that gathers concert information and saves it into a database. Also ability to delete past concerts in bulk with one click.

Built in Ruby and Ruby on Rails. Create your own sportscenter-like highlight show. Choose from various sports to search videos and add them to a list of videos to then consume, like a customizable highlight show. Work in progress...
Demo of myHighlight
Built in Python, Django, mySQL. Collaboration project - goal is to allow restaurants and charities to coordinate picking up leftover food and distributing it to those in need.

Magna Cum Laude
I love flying jets. The speed, views, planning, training, travel, judgment, prestige, experience is all great. Turns out the bigger the planes you fly, the faster they go, the farther they go and the longer you stay away from home. THAT's the part I didn't like - being away from my wife and baby girl. Aviation is highly regulated and thus being a pilot requires little creativity by design. Safety and a high-level attention to detail is constantly required.
I've gained a lot of satisfaction in my accomplishments thus far but I wanted a better quality of life. I wanted a challenge intellectually, creatively, and I wanted to be entrepeneurial and contribute to change. I knew becoming a software developer would be a good career so I started doing computer science courses on Lynda.com and bought some courses on Udemy. I discovered freecodecamp, Stack Overflow, and the power of targeted-googling. I fell in love with being able to think something up and go try to create it.
I was progressing, albeit slowly, in my new coding career and wanted a jumpstart in the right direction so I researched accelerated software development programs or bootcamps. Coding Dojo was close to home, taught 3 full stacks and was relatively affordable so I jumped at the opportunity. 3.5 months of 12-13 hour days plus commuting 2 hours taught me how to work hard, perservere through the roadblocks, and learn difficult things.
I am very excited for my new career in software development and hope to be able to build great things in the near future!
